Meaning & context

누군가의 머리가 회전하는 것. 이 비속어는 누군가 머리가 회전할 정도로 화나는 일이 있 을 때 적합한 표현이다. 또한 이 표현은 폭발을 비유할 때 종종 쓰이는 의성어 ‘팍’으로부 터 변형된 ‘빡’과 미쳐버리는 것을 의미하는 ‘돌다’와의 결합형태로 추측해 볼 수도 있다.

Literally “to turn, rotate or spin one’s head.” This would be best described as one’s head spinning from being so angry. Bbak (빡) may also be related to the onomatopoeic Korean word for an explosion, pak (팍), and dolda (돌다) could be to go crazy as in the childish Korean expression to describe someone as crazy, dorai (돌아이). Synonym: 빡치다 [bbak-chi-da] lose one’s temper.
