Meaning & context
Originally, a Japanese word for subordinate, ggobung is typically used jokingly between friends and most often among men who have established an alpha male position. A ggobung is an inferior, like a sidekick, a hanger-on, lackey or devotee used as a messenger or gofer by the superior and often treated like a “doormat.”
