Meaning & context
글자 그대로 풀이하면, “상처의 딱지 따위를 떼어내다”의 의미. 이것은 불법 주차를 하였을 경우, “주차구역이 아닌 곳에 주차하였을 때” 주로 쓰이는 표현이다. 하지만, 비속어로 이 단어는 남자가 처음 여자와 관계를 맺은 것을 뜻하며, 아주 가끔의 경우에 여자에게 사용된 다.
Literally to “take off” or “peel off” (ddaeda) a “scab” (ddakji), this rather nasty expression is often used for removing a parking ticket sticker meaning, “Parking in a no parking zone.” The slang, however refers to the first time a man has had sexual intercourse, thereby “becoming experienced” or “popping his cherry.” This expression is rarely used when referring to a woman.
