shoot straight; straight talk; be brutally honest
The Flashcard
The original illustrated card, front and back.

Meaning & context
Literally “a rock” or dol (돌) and “a fastball” or jik-ku (직구), to indicate a rock thrown straight and hard. To doljikku one must speak bluntly, straight from the heart and without consideration for another’s feelings. Similar to “speak frankly,” or “don’t hold back,” it has the sarcastic connotation of “Tell me what you really think!” Synonym: 솔까말 [sul-gga-mal] to be completely honest; from 솔직히 까놓고 말해서
